I do not know about Vera compability since I have homeseer - but for homeseer it is a big no. I bought one of these to utilize the "scroll" function of the wheel to control colors/volumes/blinds whatever - but it turns out as a slave it is more or less only a big expensive on/off button. I don't even use it anymore but the kids like the colors it produce .... my advice: do not buy it.
