It sounds like you've answered your own question! If Vera support can't get them working then that would seem to "prove" that they don't currently work in Vera.
Have these yet been proven to work with Vera Edge or Vera Plus? I have installed one and whilst, after hours working on-line (computer and telephone) with a Micaverde technician (or two), the binary function works, we can get no sensible response from the 2 x DS18B20 connected.
