If using Zigbee2MQTT as your Zigbee integration in Home Assistant then the Vesternet Zigbee Wall Controllers all work as "button controllers" (i.e. you can use them for triggering automations). If using ZHA, they will pair as standard Zigbee Group control / Scene recall devices, so you can only use them by directly pairing to other Zigbee devices such as bulbs and dimmers for Group control and Scene recall.
